BUSTED! Yeah, I said tomorrow right...Sorry about that...I kind of did the same thing as Marley when I hit the couch last night:
She always cracks me up when she sleeps hanging on either side of a pillow.
So you want to hear about the huge stash divide, eh! Well all us gals gathered over at Fidget Ann's house to bring together all our culled stash. Can I just say how hard it was for me to abandon some of my stash; Even though it has been squished in the deep dark depths of several rooms in my house for months years. Liz came over and helped prod me through the process and give me support through my separation anxiety. I got rid of some Tahki Dazzle, Rowan Cotton Rope, Artyarns Supermerino, a bag full of novelty yarn leftovers and some that was given to me that I never touched, Cotton Fleece, and a few odd balls of stuff that were left over from some projects.
So then we went over to Ann's and let it join other rejected yarn skeins. In fact, there were so many orphaned skeins, we had two big piles.
Ha, that's my Dazzle right there in front...I had to practically pay someone to take it so I wouldn't have to take it back home! So we snagged what we wanted and my, look how much was still left over!
Of course through the course of the night we couldn't stand seeing some of these skeins not go to a good home, so we conviced eachother of some useful projects for some of the stranded skeins. Then we all sat around and knit, drank wine and proceeded to talk like bad ass knitters! What a fab group of gals that created funny and friendly mojo. I had an absolute blast. Here's all of us in one room. (I'm not going to link all the names again, but go to the previous post to check all their sites out!)
First we have Isel, Jenna and Lolly:
Then we have Heather and Paula there on the floor and Chelsea
The back of Kell's head, Lara is sitting in front of her (also showing the back of her head), Holly, Rosanna, Amy, Liz, Ann and Sarah sitting there on the floor:
Whew! Hope I got all the names right! Oh! And Erin was there, but had to leave right before these shots were taken.
So what went home with me?
I got some DK Blue Sky Alpaca, some lovely Blue Sky Silk Alpaca in three different pastel colors, two skeins of Cascade, one skein of Lambs Pride (that will match my coat!) , some royal blue Zepher and a skein of recycled silk that will allow me to finish a scarf that I didn't have enough to finish, Yippee! How perfect!
I also got something else wicked cool...But I'll save that (DARE I SAY IT) for tomorrow's post!
Oh...And today is my little brother's birthday!!!! Happy Birthday Shannon!!!! [Please note that I remembered!]

I shouldn't try to leave comments when I'm still groggy in the morning. I have nothing nice to say. I'm just plain jealous. ;)

Heh, I'm glad to hear that you did not come down with my nasty cold. As of Sunday morning I was toast! I'm finally back to work today although it isn't the smartest thing I've ever done... Dude, you know I'm still sick cause I'm totally forgetting what else you got. I guess I'll be surprised too!
Happy birthday Shannon!

What an awesome swap! I'm totally jealous! I think our little group is planning something like that in May. I have to say that I think you were very brave to give stuff up. Way to decrease that stash!

It sounds like it was a lot of fun! And, oh, that picture of Marley is just adorable. Chappy sometimes does the same thing, when he curls up on the pillow next to me on my big, yellow chair, and it never fails to look adorable. Do you think they plan this kind of thing, knowing how it makes us go "awwwww!"?
